Belt Buddy was created by someone who began their career in Emergency Medical Services in 1994, responding to countless emergencies across our community. For decades, they witnessed firsthand the critical importance of having immediate access to emergency information.
After years on the front lines, our founder transitioned into physical therapy, but the lessons learned as a first responder never left them. The moments that stay with you aren't always the saves—sometimes they're the times when you wish you could have done more.
That's where Belt Buddy was born.
The Moment That Changed Everything
I'll never forget holding the hand of a young man who died in the ER without his family there. In that moment, I realized how many families go through emergencies alone, unable to be reached when their loved ones need them most.
That experience haunted our founder. They knew there had to be a better way—a simple, reliable method to ensure families could always be connected in critical moments. Belt Buddy exists so no family has to face an emergency alone.
